Catering Above 150 People

Q-What is the minimum for private party catering?
A-150 people is the minimum for private party catering. However for some events Giffy’s will lower this count if a larger menu is being offered.

Q-What menu should I use for private parties?
A-Wedding/Corporate Menu and/or our restaurant menu.

Q-What is the pricing for private parties above 150 people?
A-Refer to our Wedding/Corporate Catering Menu and/or the restaurant menu. Custom menus and pricing can also be created for you by calling Bryah at 518-373-9800.

Q-What additional charges are there besides food?
A-We are required to charge New York State Sales Tax. Giffy’s will also add a 15-18% gratuity for events that require serve and clean up.

Q-Does Giffy’s offer Beer and Wine?
A-Yes, we do. Beer and Wine can be added to your event as our open bar, mixture bar, 1 hour open bar, or cash bar. Please call Bryah at 518-373-9800 for details and pricing.

Q-Can Giffy’s help with tents, tables, chairs and other rentals?
A-Yes, we work with many rental companies in the area and do to our volume can get rentals at very competitive pricing. Call Bryah at 518-373-9800 for details and pricing.

Q-Can Giffy’s provide desserts?
A-Wow, you bet!! We offer a variety of homemade desserts and ice cream.     

Q-Does Giffy’s offer pre set packages?
A-Yes our Wedding/Corporate Catering menu we have a few packages that have become popular. However we love to create menus special for your event.

Q-Do I have to use a set meal or can I create my own?
A-Giffy’s loves to create menus that work best to your event and guests. If you don’t see something on our menu that you want please ask.

Q-Will Giffy’s serve and clean up?
A-Yes, we will help with setup, serving and clean up to make sure you can relax and enjoy the event.

Q-Does Giffy’s require a deposit?
A-Yes, Giffy’s will ask for a $500-1000.00 deposit depending on the size of your event.

Q-Does Giffy’s serve for a buffet?
A-Yes, we typically serve from a buffet line so that guests can take as much of whatever they want. Depending on the size of your event we will either use 1 or 2 lines and may have them double sided.

Q-Does Giffy’s do table serve?
A-Because of the volume that we serve we do not do plated table service. We can do table family style serve if requested.

Q-Do I need to hire a Wedding Coordinator?
A-No Giffy’s will coordinate your event. We handle all aspects of the event and timing. Our team has over 75 years of combined hospitality experience.
